A journalism workshop for reporting on the e-government strategy was launched in the Caspian Business Center today. The training course is organized by the Multimedia Center and is targeted at high school journalism students. Multimedia Center head Osman Gunduz informed the participants about the training program. According to Gunduz, the workshop is aimed at training the journalists for professionally reporting on the e-government strategy.

The first day of the course discussed the benefits of the e-government strategy. Topics such as open government concept, basic elements of e-government, e-government infrastructure, e-government and e-democracy, e-government initiatives, the role of e-government in combating corruption, etc were also included in the agenda.

Trainer Isfendiyar Aliyev, department head at the ICT Ministry, spoke about the e-government strategy and its implementation by the government.

SINAM ICT company representative Firudin Ahmedov informed the participants about basic elements of the e-government strategy and its role in simplifying citizen-government interactions.

The 7-day workshop is carried out in an interactive manner.
